PostSubject: 15" Deepdish fitment?   15" Deepdish fitment? EmptySat Aug 27, 2011 12:14 pm

Hey guys currently looking to get a set of alloys slightly deep dish. Just need some help if they will fit perfectly or will i need arch work for them to fit. I think offset for the E10 Hatch is 35-38 if I'm not mistaken. Don't think these will be a big issue. What do you guys think?

195/50/15
Rim Width 7J.
Offset 33.

Are you on stock suspension? If so, you should be OK

Original Offset is 45
For hatchback 7J x 15 and offset 33 will need work on the rear arches for sure.

Oh right thanks for that.
Do you think it would be worthwhile if I do go ahead with it?
The max I'll buy the alloys is around £150 and arch work for all 4 arches cost £130 or £90 for two. What do you guys think?

I would definitely do the work on the arches, cause a deep dish fitment is very sick! If you really want the look, I would get the rims first and try them, and then modify the arches if needed.

Thanks for the reply. Have you had any experience with your arches being worked on? Btw sweet looking corolla. Very Happy

Forgot to say I'm running on lowered springs by 40mm

oh... yeah you are lowered 1.5" so you will definitely need to "roll the fenders"

Thanks for the compliment!

I never did work on the arches because I kept OEM fitment/offset. I had the car lowered 40-50 mm and 17" wheels, but never any rubbing.

Ah fair enough. You running coilovers or just springs? I used to have 17" wheels on stock suspension it would rub with one passenger in the car so back to 15" Smile

Only the rear fenders require rolling. There's no lip on the front fenders so there's nothing to roll. You could pull/flare the front guards however, but since the wheels are only +33 and 7-inches wide that won't be necessary at all.

Maybe nobody have done it here yet.. a conversion from drumbrake to AE101 or AE111 discbrakes on the rear axle puts the wheel about 10mm more to the inside.

Very interesting information. Looks like I'll have to chuck a spacer in when I do my rear disc conversion Smile

I wouldn't bother with 0 offset. They will look horrible on a Corolla. The wheels will poke out further than the fenders and make it look like roller skates gone wrong. A more conservative offset would be +30 with an 8" wheel. If you give it some negative camber and run fairly skinny tires you shouldn't have many issues with rubbing etc, unless you plan on lowering it right down.

A 15x7 should be an easy fit with 195/50 tires, probably will only need a good roll in the rear depending on how low you want to go. Any wheel higher than a +25mm offset really doesn't take too much work to fit so I say go for it!

Sorry but I'm new here and I would also like to know what tires to use on some 15x8 ET20 for my 97 corolla sedan. Keeping in mind that its on stock suspension? Thank you in advance!

195/50R15 is a common tire size, it's a slight stretch but not too extreme. 205/50R15's are also an option if you want a wider tire but if you lower the car it'll be hard to get it to clear the fenders. Right now I'm currently running 195/45R15's on a 15x8 +19 offset and with extra negative camber and a good amount of fender work, they clear well enough for a daily driver.

Thank you I ended up getting some brand new 195/55R15 for a great deal that I couldn't pass on. they did rub a little bit but with some fender rolling they fit perfectly now. Thank you though!

hmmm this is interesting!!!!!!!!!! i really like your wheels monkeypower. i wanted to get something similar from diamond racing b/c i love the lip but i wanted 16x8. Probably will be a tight fit considering im lowered 2 inches on ksports but i got my fenders rolled already too so hopefully wont be too crazy. Anyways my rollas not my daily so i can play with it a bit but i feel like id really have to slam to get 15s to fill up the gap, but from what ive seen 15s seem pretty common with our cars. Idk its crazy but we'll see. great info guys really digging this topic
