| As much as I hate to say it, this build is now over and the car is up for sale . It's been a very enjoyable 6-years and I've met a huge amount of great people over that time, so I'd just like to say a massive thank you to everybody who has supported this project over the years and has offered their thoughts, opinions and encouragement. Without that, this build likely would've died a long time ago, so cheers! . I look forward to seeing what the future holds and the exciting times that are ahead TradeMe auction link: http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=913025762 _________________ ^^Click above to view my Driiive page ^^Want JDM parts? | Saw on FB about the sale and a little shocked still. Like I said, hopefully someone who understands what has been done to this car will take great care to preserve it. Awesome build and I don't think I would be exaggerating to say this one has been one of the best examples of the AE101 and all it's possibilities to date! BTW Scott, did you keep the hatch still? _________________ | |

Thanks man. I've never been as attached to a car as I am to this one, so it makes things very difficult, but with 3 kids, only a 2-car garage and other things to save for in the future (wedding, house etc) it's time for the Corolla to move onto a new home. It's been a great run, and one I'll always remember. I sold the FX-GT hatchback a few months ago, just after I bought my new car. Speaking of the new car, it's a 2006 Toyota Aurion SX6 Sportivo. It's quite a different kettle of fish to the Corolla as it's a much larger vehicle, and packs a 3500cc 2GR-FE Dual VVT-i V6 under the hood. Practicality-wise it makes a lot more sense as I can fit all of the kids in it (carseats and all) and it has more than enough power than I'll ever need, while being a lot safer and more modern in the process. It has nothing on the Corolla in terms of quirkiness though and feels a lot more 'generic', but it's my new pride and joy, and one that I'll no doubt keep for many years to come _________________ ^^Click above to view my Driiive page ^^Want JDM parts? | Trust me, I completely understand. I have three kids of my own. And not little kids either. That will be a great family car. Very similar to our Toyota Camry here in the US _________________

| This Corolla has always inspired me. It has been my reference when i am doing mods on my corolla. So sad to see this beauty end up this way. Scott, thank you so much for the optional extras and support you have given me. _________________ Finishing races is important, but racing is more important.

| Hi Scott,
I am looking at doing a blacktop conversion into my car by the end of the year. Now i know you have to change the engine loom and ecu to a blacktop ecu, but I was wondering does the existing car loom (for the interior controls etc) just plug into the blacktop ecu, or do you need to rewire the whole car. I am going from a 7afe ae102 to a blacktop with 6 speed transmission (or do you think the 5 speed transmission is better?).
Its sad to see your rolla go, I have looked at it many times for inspiration, and will continue to do so ha ha,
Thanks mate. | |

Hey, I wonder where you can buy that kind of pillow ball bearings, or if you have dimensions on them (metric)? I have seen those you can buy at speed-source, but it seems like these are better suited, after reading your opinion. Ps. I love your car!
