| So....I was carousing one of my local junkyards after I got off at 7am this morning, mostly looking for 83-97 corollas or camrys to molest. Well after wandering for awhile and finding nothing too exciting I stumbled across an odd site. A subaru in a junkyard, a rare site for me, I never find them. It was a 2001 impreza with severe rear end damage. Small tidbit of info, I don't like the U.S. seventh gen corolla front bumper, it screams "hheeeyyy gguurrlll lets get groceries!!!" I love the jdm ones but my budget is close to non existent and the beautiful gc8 ones also cost more than my wallet can release. So I thought I'd try this one, and for $45 its not too bad. It was very easy, anyone who has researched this knows that they're a little too wide, I plan on cutting out a section and making it pretty but not right now. I'm very pleased with the new look, it unlimps my noodle. _________________ "If in doubt flat out" -Colin McRae

| You're the 3rd-ish person I've seen use that bumper.... but yeah, they are super cheap, can't beat $45 lol!
It looks like it's already cut in half though? Or is it just broken. | |

| Broken....don't worry, since then I've stitched it up with pink zip ties. Also missing one of the fog light area covers. I'll post a couple pics of how easy I wired it after it stops raining here. _________________ "If in doubt flat out" -Colin McRae

| Well, I've been stuck on 7 to 7 shifts so no new updates. But I did get an intake, a civic one, I'll post pics when I'm back on a normal schedule and have time to put it on. Probably will lose power but it's neon green and will probably make noises. _________________ "If in doubt flat out" -Colin McRae

| So I picked up one of those ebay short throw shifters, and even though it does make the throw shorter I don't like it. The difference is the extra ball just below the pivot, as you can see the ebay one doesn't have it. This mutated growth fills the space to make sure there is no play in the foward/back motion. So without it, I got a shorter but sloppier shift. So, like any good redneck, I decided to fix the issue. I violently removed it from one of my spare shifters and with some used chewing gum, jb weld, and a picture of a gangster sloth, I combined the two. I also made it 1/4 inch longer under the pivot, effectively reducing the factory shift throw by...well...I don't have a number but I'll go with three metric godzillas. It shifts fantastic and feels very solid. _________________ "If in doubt flat out" -Colin McRae

| Well, been a little while since I've been on here. Long story short, my brother totalled his 240 and couldn't get to and frm work, seing as this is important and I've got more than one car and can afford to help him, I gave him the aintcare corolla. Very sad day. But today I made all right with the world and bought this one. I've got a small future world rally driver ready to be born next month so this one probably won't be stripped and raced. I plan on some jdm treatment and some of my usual mods for driveability. I'll see if i can get my bro to continue the build thread of the old car. _________________ "If in doubt flat out" -Colin McRae
